两幕歌剧《雷雨》由著名作曲家莫凡，根据曹禺先生同名话剧改编，讲述一个被封建礼教压迫的女子追求人性自由与爱情的悲情故事。曾荣获国家舞台艺术精品工程“精品提名剧目”、“第四届全国歌剧、舞剧、音乐剧优秀剧目展演”二等奖、上海文艺创作优品、文华剧目奖等。自2001年音乐会版首演以来，该剧先后以舞台版、校园版、沙龙版等多种形式，在上海、北京、杭州等全国各地巡演中受到广泛好评。2016年，在伦敦大剧院完成英国首演，赢得当地观众的称赞。
Opera Thunderstorm, an adaptation of a stage play written by Cao Yu, tells a sad story about a woman oppressed by feudal ethics who pursues human freedom and love. It has won several domestic theatre awards. Since the premiere of the concert version in 2001, the play has been widely acclaimed in various forms such as stage version, campus version, salon version, etc. It has been on tours around China including Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, etc and has won the praise of the local audience. It has been welcomed all over the world, including its UK debut at the London Coliseum in 2016.
